For those of you wondering which type of hunting to do.
Of course begin with the beginners session.
When you get to about 20-25 hunting skill or you're getting 7-10k per hunt, move up to standard session.
When you get to about 55-60 hunting skill or you're getting 15-20k per hunt, move up to advanced session.
Don't be concerned if your not killing all the animals in the session you're doing before moving on, you should be able to get others from a higher session.

Well it seems that the nerfed hunting. Now when a lower level player wants to gain some decent money and sacrifice their stats they can't. Just another way Ched and the admins have decided to keep the balence of power in the hands of the uber high lvls.

sad i was nearly at level 15 before the crash and was hoping to earn lots of money then it crash i went from level 14 to 8 and now ive reached level 15 and am trying hunting so far i have hunted 13 times and lost about 5k from using a guide

In Reply to the above you will reach 50 if you hunt three times a day and have a donater pack after 60 days of hunting three full energy a day.you will start making enough money to buy a dp and some spare cash ,if you look at my post earlier you will start making nice money at about 60 skill.

actually... the update DID affect hunting exp gain....
before the update... when it was stuck at 89.1 hunting skill, it gave 0.0056 exp per hunt...
after the update, any rise after 89.1 gave 0.0028 and so on..
there was a sudden drop in exp rate gained ONLY after the skills reaches 89.1

Per hunt whether it is in the Standard or Avanced hunting it seems the amounts very all over but it is the Total of a 150 E hunt.They both seem to hit an average after 150 E of $250,000. So can't realy say it's really worth all the time it takes to get here but I am so far in that I am gonna try to go to 100 exp hunting and I will keep updating my post for anyone interested.Also my gain for hunting is at 0.0027 exp per hunt so it will take a lot longer to get to 100 Hunting exp.

hi justin14, if ur hunting skill is 99/100 u will get max $38000-$30000 per hunt & min $11000..its doesn't effect ur battle stats, but the problem is u can't train ur battle stats but if u doing hunt, u will hv to scarifice ur battle stats..the only thing u get is money & hunting skills...

Note: must have (99/100 hunting skills)...u will get more than $1 - 1.5 mil or $2 mil per day..u hv to play every 5 hrs..then u will reach this amount..

I get more than 700k per day with 30 5 nerve doing arson government building all time, maybe it is more valuable than hunting coz I'm also get the battle stat.

So, bottom line here, is going to South Africa when you reach level 15 and just hunting for a while a good idea or not, overall?

You still accumulate all your cash and specials from your job, whatever that is (so massive INT gain from education, or massive buildup of medical points, etc. when you get back) and you gain a lot of money not to mention a permanent source of income when you need it (in the form of high hunting skill).

You lose: The ability to further improve your battle stats and crime XP.

So, experienced players, would you reccommend it or not, overall?

You make roughly 250-500 (750-1000 before you pay the hunting guide) cash on day 3 (per one hunt), seems worth it as you move up quite quickly and if you need money. You earn your job money daily which gets added onto the total money you have while in Africa.

I just spent a few days in SA working on getting some hunting skills. I reached about 22 in skill and was getting around $400-1500 per hunt. The skill gain was about 0.0045 when I left. Hunting three times a day I made roughly $30k - not great but covered my housing upgrade expenses (barely) but also, that amount IS going up.

Mostly I just wanted to add that hunting has another use - its a good place to 'hide' to avoid your faction loosing respect. this is especially useful during those times when you cant be online much for a given period. You can just sit in SA and hunt whenever you do get a chance to login and as pointed out previously, rack up job points while there.

Lastly, I dont if this is just a coincidence as I've every stayed in SA for more than 24hours this last trip (was there for 5 days). The cost of Xanax kept dropping. I wasn't paying close attention to when the price was dropping but it made at least 3 distinct drops Since last Wed until this morning (Monday). When I first got there it was selling at ~$624k. When I left this morning it was down to ~$582k.

Okay, roughly a week into hunting with a current skill of 27. I can manage to do standard hunting sessions but if you're losing money while doing this I recommend until waiting to come around to 30-33 skill (as I predict it will allow you to start killing standard animals)- problem is I got to giddy and anxious and now I just don't care about my session given that I'm still making money.

-> Beginner Hunt @ 27 skill = $1500 hunt/average.

39 Skill, Standard Hunt $1500-2500 per session/10 energy, the averages move slowly around here but I do make 50k a day, growing by the day (by 5-10k).

Hopefully now people can make a more informed decision based on my progress. Only bad thing about hunting (quite bad) is I lose 5k per month in battle stats for hunting.

When your hunting level reaches 99.0011 (it gets stuck there and nobody knows why), you will be making about $48.000 on average pr hunting session. Which is 2-3 million dollars a day, depending on how active you are. This is with the hunting skill bonus that comes with the job if you're in a rated 3 farm or zoo.
Without the farm/zoo worker's bonus, you can expect only about 20.000 per session, so don't even think about going full time hunting without that bonus.. A 15% gain in hunting skill might not sound much, but it really is a 150% gain on your hunting income.

Yeah, I still don't mind the income when I need some extra money quickly, my crime XP sucks so when I need some cash I jet down to SA for 2 weeks. Still isn't worth what it should be but since I still need better weapons and drug money I go.

I have about 72 hunting skill now and make 7-9k on average. I've hit as high as $11, 700 for hunts as well and as low as 3k.

But i can tell you it's been a big difference in what money I make since I started working on the farm. to get the bonus the farm should have a 3/5 rating. I don't know if it's the same working in a zoo.

I keep track of all my travel durations and time of regen lost during those.
It's a little hard to get there, and takes a lot of patience.
Since the start, I've been on SA for around 850 hours, and only lost the chance to hunt with the energy gathered during 14 hours due to a trip I took. Right now, after spending this much time, I've got to 69.2055 skill, and I am making 800k a day or so. Comparing to what I could get before hunting, it's big money. lol

Keep in mind that all of this period, I've been hunting with a donator pack AND the special bonus from a farm.
Guess you would make minus than without those.

I meant, if you go on a single trip to SA, you will need 5 weeks or so on the same conditions to get to 70%.

5 weeks? My friend, without a hunting bonus (which is what most people start out with) it takes you about 2 MONTHS to get a 60 hunting skill (donator packs needed), may I remind you you're one of the fortunate to start with one.

At about 60-70 hunting skill you make about 400-500k a day if you're on for the whole day (Maybe 6-9k per hunt?).

Neither gains you more skill, it just allows for a broader range of animals to hunt when you have an appropriate skill to do so with. Start your standard hunts at around 30-35.

Don't expect 60 hunting skill in 5 weeks.

As I told you, if you do it like I did, you WILL get to 60 skill. That will happen within 5 weeks, only with you GO and STAY there for 5 weeks. I come and go every 4-5 days. so it takes me a little longer.

From 70 to 80 seems to be an eternity, as my skill gains are low now. like 0,014 per hunt, so it's like 1% skill a day if I do all 72 hunt sessions, and it will get lower. I guess it will take another month to skill 80, considering I'm at 69.

Update: Just hit 93 hunting skill, my hunts seem to of increased from an average 30-40k to a 35-45k per hunt.

No real surprise I'm answering this:

A: You can't hit a max hunting skill in 31 days (at skill 41), buy more DP's.
B: When it does. I've always found they increase (noticibly) in increments of 5 skill points, but that might only say make your income go from 1-2k to maybe 1.1-2.3k at most.
C: Use your current hunting gain [X] 15 (amount of energy used for full dump) [X] the amount of full energy dumps you use per day [X] number of days
EX: Mine is $40, 000 [X] 15 [X] 4 [X] 31

Currently I'm in a 3/5 Farm which I joined before I left. My hunting gains so far averages between 11-15k as compared to my previous hunting trip a month's back and the gains as posted by users over here, this is strange!

Maybe someone here could enlighten me about this?

Some info about farm company and my hunts:
I became employee in a 4/5 farm company. The bonus said 15% hunting ability (I think). I traveled back to SA. First I had normal hunts (not more than 30k). Next day I had an average of 45k and so far my max hunt is 73k (forgot to copy >< doh!). Just 1-2 times so far (over 60 hunts) I have been under 30k. And I have 99,0005 hunting skills (hope they fix the bug soon so you can get 100 hunting skills).

Btw, like Society said: You will need much more than 1 donator pack. BUT when you have got high skills and earn lots of cash (I make over 2 mill each day now) you will be able to buy alot. Think I have perhaps 1 year donator now :)

really, my personal advise is that you need to work in the farm..

with 60 times (online 4 times, full energy) i got 2.8mill (700k-750k per online) per day.. really worth it.. but patience is the most important thing to do hunting.. spent a lot of time at SA...

for all the beginner hunters, this is some tips for all of you:

for beginner = exp from 0 - 35
for normal = 35 to 85/90
for advance = > than 90

I think this guide needs to be updated with some information and maybe a spread sheet of possible earnings from all the postings in the forums (and here). Maybe during the summer I'd make one for this page?

Here's what should be updated in the actual page above: Soccer's skill from when he received those gains, a comparison to what is gained now from same stats/ energy, suggested times as to move up in hunt, etc.

TCB: I personally don't have the time at the moment, but if anyone wants to write up a summary, or even redo this page, I'll be happy to put it up. Whoever does it gets credited with what they've done of course.

Starting from the day i had hunting skill of 17.8237 i have saved my every hunt skill gain and it's progress up to current day when i have 79.6360.. as an addition to that i have also make notes of how much i earn on each hunt (but only from hunt skill of about 34.5)
If anyone would like to use it with this tutorial you can contact me in game....
I can extrapolate/estimate the stat gains from first hunt although if someone would prefer exact values i'd have to contact someone who is just starting hunting to make notes similar to mine untill his hunting skill is 17.8
I have graphs of my hunting skill progress, hunting skill gains as well as cash earned from hunting (with moving average trend with a period of 15 hunts)
So far all the hunts were without the farm/zoo bonus

I joined a farm yesterday, and immediately flew off to SA as soon as the application was accepted. Is the hunting bonus given to me automatically after 3 days? Or do I have to fly back to TC to get it activated, before flying back to hunt in SA?

@XxKiller500xX Based on how often you play it will take several months (usually 3-4) before you can start making any decent money. I am not even talking about maxing out your hunting skill.
There has been many posts pointing pros and cons of going hunting. If you are serious about it and you are willing to sacrifice the possibility to train your battle stats for that long - sure go ahead.

I also make 72k on hunts. Your happiness plays a major role in how much you make from what I've seen.

I remember from 1,5 years ago that hunting skill was capped at 90,01 skill.
Might just be some random point where you can't get past.

TCB: You're going to have to get the company to rank 3 first.

@Dutch, it's the exponential gain that they've coded it as I believe, that's the max they've managed to figure out without giving some awkward gain at one point.

@Mobster, calculate it yourself to be exact.
Use your current hunting gain [X] 15 (amount of energy used for full dump with donator status) [X] the amount of full energy dumps you use per day [X] number of days
EX: Mine is $40, 000 [X] 15 [X] 4 [X] 31

Then add it onto your current hunting skill and you'll have a small fairly precise schedule

Take current gains you get (example .00153) and multiply it by 15 hunts x the amount of times per day you hunt. Then add that total again and again until you hit 90, the amount of times you added the total will = your days.

So:
Gain (.00XXX) [X] Hunts (15) [X] Full Energy Regens (Mine is 4) [=] Total0
Hunting skill [ ] Total0 [=] New Hunting Total [ ] Total0 [=] New Hunting Total.

Repeat and count the amount of times you add Total0, the amount of added times will tell you the days/ time it will take.

To answer how much you'll be earning at around 90 hunting skill, that would be approx. 2 mill. Sorry my first answer wasn't the greatest my lazy asleep-at-the-wheel personality kicked in.

By the way, the blank brackets between hunting skill and total0 should have a plus sign in them, sorry they didn't show.

i think you should update this page and say the MAXIMUM u can get is 99.0005-99.0011/100
rather than 100/100 hunting skill
this should stop any other questions about the maximum hunting skill

I don't know how much it takes to get to skill of 90 from where you are now simply because i havn't reached that skill yet...

But it takes exactly 1263 hunts to get from 79.6002 to 87.0854 (it's the hunt skill i have right now)
Given you are a donator and use every bit of energy on hunting without wasting any of it (when your energy bar is already full or when you travel back to TC) you should get from 79.6 to 87.08 in 17 days and 13 hours

At skill 87 i get 28-29k per hunt (on average)
This allows to get between 2 and 2.1m daily if you hunt without wasting any energy

Happiness also affects hunting. More happy means more cash. I somewhat disagree with hunting giving a bit to level experience. I started hunting a week or 2 after getting level 31. I hunted all the way up to hunting level 99 and another month after reaching 99. I have now been back in TC doing crimes for 2 weeks and still haven't hit level 32.

Got a question...
Is there a way to check how many donator days you have remaining while you are in South Africa?
Before the last updates (icons) i was asking my friend to check my donator status from his account (all he had to do was highlight donator icon and right-click to check the "alternate text" which included number of days remaining) but with the new donator icons when you highlight icon it only shows "[donator]"
So is there any new trick to check my donator status?

No, just before you go to South Africa check how many donator days you have, if it's before the 12:00GMT "credit" time, add a day, and then count on a calender :)

yeah - but i was hoping there is a way to know this when you're already in SA so that i know when is the time to go back to buy some more DPs... heh...

i think we should make a suggestion to Ched and other devs. so that they could improve so called "side bar" for every location abroad TC to include some more usuefull information, maybe have access to "notepad" from city, and other things....
I think also a shoutbox visible only for people in certain location could be a good improvement so for example we could chat in SA when we get bored :P (similar to hospital and jail chats)

Nope, not yet. Still hovering around 95, I went back to Torncity for awhile to train my stats and crime XP. 5 months of hunting straight is extremely boring ;)

I'll be back hunting to finish my skill off in a few months, I may even consider using all the money I make to start a farm for the TCB Hunters (although you'd have to join from the start and help it grow).

your right abt the boring part though...theres nothing else to do except log in and hunt then log out.well the only good thing about this is the $$$$$$....well for all the TCB hunters out there have fun and good luck.

it's getting even more boring when you have already high skill like 90ish - because you log, hunt, log, hunt - and when you check your skill it's almost the same when it was a week ago :-)

btw - i will tell you a funny story which happened to me back when i was only starting my hunting career (more or less)
I went back to TC one time to buy a DP.. got it, used it, sold the points.... and i decided that i will put all my money in bank since i don't need it in africa...
I did what i said - banked all my money leaving only exactly 40k for plane ticket.....
5 hours later i am in Cape Town, SA with 0$... i'm about to go hunting and it hit me... doh! i didn't even leave 500$ for my first hunting session (lol)
Had to call my RL friends if they could send me some money so i could start :-)

I don't think happy has any real impact on hunting money...
For the most of the time i've been hunting while living in a shack (funny story, my husband has been "hacked" by his friend and as a prank or whatever you can call it, he sold out every item he had including mansion i was living in and then changed the password to his account) - and now that i live in better house there isn't much difference really

Well, I'm hoping that there is. I added x2.5 to my happy from when I was hunting before with my Mansion (1000). Now I have a Palace (1725) with staff (2475).

Is it better to hunt every time I log in and have lets say 10 energy or is it better to hunt when I have full energy? I am currently a donator. I started yesterday evening and I now have:Your hunting skill is 10.8261 / 100. Would I have gotten there faster or been a higher level had I waited until I am at full energy to hunt? Does this affect how much money I make/lose if I hunt at 10 energy? Is it best to stay a few days then go back to TC and join a farm or zoo then go back or is it best to stay until i am earning money then go back and join a farm/zoo?

It doesn't matter "when" you hunt, it's not like training where the more often you train in smaller intervals the better (although I do this in case I have to leave the computer).

Join a farm/ zoo as soon as possible.

Are there any farms or zoos made exclusively for hunters. Before I left for SA this past time I tried to get into several farms and zoos, but no one was hiring at the moment.

Most farms are made for hunters, it's more dependant on space, effectiveness and rank.

as wat society saud...there are companies who just hired hunters only but it is also depends if u have decent working stats to help in the company.so if u do have then i think making in into a zoo or farm wont be much of a problem.

I was wondering if it was only my bad luck or was it yet another attempt to make it much harder for people that are new to the game and didn't yet have chance to earn a decent fortune...

but i disagree with you that the decrease started with attacking system update - if anything, it was during the following "server maintenance" downtime last friday cause my earning have started to drop starting from that moment
My average hunting earnings have dropped by 3-7k a hunt (250-500k less daily profit). I am saving all my gains and earning to a spreadsheet so i observe that downfall trend on my charts...
But for now i wouldn't want to jump into conclusion - unless more people will confirm this i'm going to treat this like a 2.5-day-long streak of bad luck

I highly doubt that the attacking system decreased the hunting gains. I wouldn't put it past Chedburn to of lowered the hunting gains to decrease chances of inflation in Torn (I still don't approve of this).

I don't think bad luck goes on more than half a day streaks, there's enough hunting done in one day that would signal a drop in income overall.

Money from hunting doesn't cause inflation.... :P


Selling now worthless miniguns, anti-tanks and some of the other high-end weapons that now prooves to be ineffective for a much lowered price is on the other hand quite different matter....

It does actually, if someone is earning 100k a day from crimes, and 3m a day from hunting, that causes inflation. There's more money being circulated to be spent, item prices rise because people have more money, sellers want to make money, etc.

I know what is inflation and i know how the laws of supply and demand works Society....

I know that if i went back to TC i wouldn't even make that 100k a day from crimes (more like 15k). I earn what i earn but i did this at great cost - training my hunting for 5 months day, after day, after day. In that time i didn't advance in my levels, crime experience, battle stats. So i say i deserve to be compansated with increased income!

If Chedburn would really want to decrease inflation - why not strike at all aspects of the game that might cause it? For example stock market that is giving to people the opportunity to earn even 10x as much money they would get from 10/10 bank account? Or poker and black jack players who play at high stakes and get lucky? Why not introduce a tax collection office in Torn City that would take away hard earned money from EVERYONE? (hehe - now we wouldn't want that - would we?)

Or at least make bank interests vary so that by increasing/decreasing it the staff could stimulate the amounts of cash in circulation (motivate to either spend on consumption or save/invest money) or intoduce some long term gilt-edged securities like in any real countries... :P

Both poker and blackjack aren't really calculated in the games inflation. Poker is just money that is taken from each player and given to another and more times than not, people lose large sums of money on black jack. That was actually put in place to help keep the inflation down. I may also note that huge money isn't made on the stock market (you can make more in crimes).

Just because we've worked hard sacrificing other aspects of the game to get money faster doesn't mean Chedburn gives a damn.

actually if you have large amount of money to invest (several hundreds of milions) you can make MUCH more than from full dail of crimes or hunting

That can go both ways though, they can either profit or suffer, just like Blackjack.

finally a 71k hunt haha...when u have hundreds of millions u can just throw into the bank and eat the interest.it can helps u alot and u dun have to go hunting anymore if ur not a big spender.

if u r working ur efficiency wont be goin down as long as you are online everyday....unless u own that company ur company efficiency will be goin down since u wont be there to train ur employees.

Back in business! Hunting again for 3 months. By then I should have a perfect hunting skill (or of what we think it is) and money for a castle.

Okay, so it so seems that happy affects your hunting gains. I'm still testing this theory but I appear to be earning 5k more per hunt (on average).

Around May (and earlier) I was hunting with a Mansion as my property, 1000 happy. I now hunt with a Palace, 2525 happy.

With a 99.0008 hunt skill and employed on a farm I make about 750-800k per 150 energy. This is as of Jun 2008.

Well, I've gone hunting while renting a palace for 1500 happy and there was no difference from before and nowadays, when I'm living on a 1000 happy mansion.

@Samsoares, you need a more defined margin of happiness (say with staff on the palace) to notice any different hunting gain because it's slim to begin with.

i did, didnt fare any better, 9-20k....but something happen the last time i hunted...i started gaining 25-45k per 10 energy. Do you have to be in a company for 3 days before you get benefits, cuz i think today is my 3rd day in the farm

I suggest if you don't already have one, get a farm job. Once you do it still takes more than 2-3 months to get a 90 hunting skill and an income like that.

and about 5050 hunts to get to 90/100 hunting skill

you can hunt up to 72 times per day if you are online 24/7 (or at least log in the intervals not longer than 5 hours)

when my hunting skill was around 75-79 i gained quite allot on standard hunting, when i tried advance i got less. as soon as your hunting skill hits 80 u can go advance and u will kill everything. i gain around 20-25K each hunt.

My Hunting Skill is now finally hit 80, But according to the guide i will wait until it hits 85 to move onto advanced infuzion.

You can move up whenever you want, it was the recommended skill range.

I hit 98 last night and after this mornings dump I believe the average in gains moves from about 47 to 53k, I also got a max gain of 75k.
Skill point gain is still .00126

No, you keep your skill. I just threw that in as a reminder to people that, the time you're spending in Torncity is time you've lost where you could of improved your hunting skill. I recommend you just buy 5 or 6 and activate them all at once.

You might as well put your points on the market as well in increments of 10 points right before you leave (you come to SA with most of the money back, no one can mug you for it as well).

I'd like to test a theory that if when you start hunting (right from day one with a hunting bonus already in affect) if you could get a perfect 100. My theory is the final skill you can acheive is based upon when you started receiving a hunting bonus.

For those that don't know, or are wondering, as soon as you hit 99- your skill gain levels to zero. Just before that when at 98.999 the gain is .00125. The monetary gains don't seem that different either, but hopefully they zeroed in the average to a higher lowest income number. Happy hunting to all!

I think that's okay, but don't go by that: you'll find out once the bonus takes affect that it's near 25k . I get about 50k per hunt and 3mill a day (so far).

what Society told about 2.5-3months is true assuming you are active and do your hunts without wasting any (or too much) energy

if it took you long to get to skill of 84 - be prepared that it will only get worse :P

That the time in which you receive a hunting bonus determines your final hunting skill. I started getting the bonus at 88, that's why my final skill is so low (99.0005). I'm guessing the earlier you get one, the better.

The factor of happiness isn't that crucial (though I believe it comes into play). That's called a hunting bonus.

TCB: You lose stats because you can't train in South Africa, you don't actually have stats deducted. Weapons and stats matter if you want to be good at fighting.

I believe that the perfect skill cannot be reached. You will eventually stop somewhere in 99 hunting skill. With the exponential formula that is being used(the more skill, the less exp) it will eventually stop. Actually i believe it drops below zero so that would mean that you lose experience. I cannot tell you guys why one ends up at 99.00001 or something and the other at .00006. This could be explained by Society's theory, but in the end i don't believe that you can get 100 hunting skill.

Nope, my result has been zero for the whole time, and at the rate I hunt, it would of changed if it was going to. Chedburn probably put a full stop on the formulas once you hit 99.

How could you judge such a statistic by moving up in housing that boosts your happy only by about 300? I moved from a Mansion to a Palace with staff (almost 2.5 more happy) and I saw a difference of 5k more per every hunt. I plan to test this out for a day once I move into a PI.

Moral of the story: The gains won't be significant unless you have a lot of happy.

I Did get allot of happy, 3x as much, I Had nothing in my penthouse, Then i got my mansion and got every upgrade imaginable, I Saw 0 effect, So i say no, I Think we can all agree that it's an untested myth, So i say no, You might say yea, I'm getting a palace shortly so i will update with my results.

Oh, And it's usless upgrading your house to full, With my mansion i got 189k per day i had to pay out, Everything included, So i was looking all that per day, so an upgraded '5k' per hunt isn't worth it.

If what Soci is right, But you will be paying more money OUT then getting the extra 5k IN, so all in all mate, It isn't really a gain, I Noticed it when i was paying 189k a day for staff n stuff just to get max happy, So instead of 600k p/150 i was getting lower then 500k.

assuming someone trains 4 times a day with full 150 energy giving total 60 hunts per day
60 x $5,000 = $300,000
So even after subtracting the staff expences you would end up with an improved profit...

but once again - i cannot say that there are any differences in money gains according to your happy bar
i have done all the hunting training from 0 to 99.0006 and i've save all my skill and money gains to Excel spreadsheet....
I know that average gains can vary - i had days having 5-8k less than usual per single train (on average based on last 150 trains not single results)... on the other hand there were days that i was getting surprisingly better average results.

But looking at the big picture and overall trends - i really doubt happy has anything to do with your money earned (once again i say that had only 1 house change from 100 to 1000 happy) and that it's only the matter of a relative luck the day you moved to better house and decided to check your results....

Ok - a short summary of my accomplishment....

Number of hunts from skill 0 to skill 99.006 -----> 10,586

If player with donator status was to hunt 24/7 and not wasting any energy at all it would take 148 days to max out your hunting skill (no going back to TC, allways with DP)

For me it took something around 180-200 days but cannot be sure of that.

Money earned throughout the process of training hunting skill (0 to 99.0006 - so not including what i've earned past that point, between 82.0000 and 99.0006 hunting with farm bonus) $288,327,519

From the above number you need to subtract the total hunting cost of $5,293,000, cost of at least 6-7 (price vaired throughout the time) and the occasional airplane tickets ($40,000 each)

My current average gains from hunting (maxed skill at 99.0006) is $47,500 (after paying the guide) - based on last 150 hunts
Average gain based on last 1000 hunts (involves hunts where my skill wasn't yet maxed) is $46,780 (after paying the guide)

Based on the average gain / single hunt i can earn up to $3,420,000 each day (72 hunts per day)

When you get past 94/100 hunting skill the skill gain will be dropped by 1/2
the cash gains will only increase slightly.. but to max your hunting skill you will need about 4500 more hunts (little more than 2 months of continuous hunting)

It's kinda hard to imagine it takes 2 months though, it didn't seem that long for me (although it takes about 63 days). Ah well.

I've been with a 5 star company for 12 days now and I'm still not getting the bonus.

Maybe your hunting skill is too low to know it? What's your skill, My hunting gain increates around 10-12k or so per hunt when i got mine.

You should get it after 3 days, and you should also notice significant gains from what you were used to getting. Contact staff maybe?

My skill is 95 and the last company I worked for I was getting the hunting bonus so I don't know why it's not working now.

try going back to TC, quit your job and then reapply (offcourse mail your director first so that you are not left without job)
maybe the second time the hunting bonus will kick in after 3 days

I started hunting in July and have a hunting skill of 89.8289. Let me tell you that I did not get the hunting bonus up until 3 weeks ago and tripled my income from 10 to 15k to 35-45 k per hunt (I am a TC donator also). For those people that want to know how long it takes to get to this skill (Do the math, about 3 months none stop 4 full hunts per day) it’s a long and painful endeavour. Hunting is like owning a home, it’s an investment that will ensure your position as a wealthy player in the long run and it’s very well worth it if you have patience( Also for those of you who aren’t successful in crimes, just hop on a plane for a couple of days and make a months worth of crimes in a week). On another note to all the people that complain about some farms that charge 5mil per month, think about it, I do about 2.5mil per day, that's about 75mil a month, so 5 mil is nothing compared to the profit gains (Don't get greedy people) So I recommend that if you are going to work on your hunting skill, be mentally prepared and in the beginning, the gains suck but once you start seeing your account jump to the millions, you will feel great! And don’t worry if you think you are losing training your battle stats because if you are a mega millionaire, you will be able to acquire expensive housing that will give you lots of stats per gym point; you’ll be able to buy donator packs in bulk, refills like soft drinks, drugs like candy, and acquire the best weapons money can get. So don’t worry, you will catch up and surpass other players. Happy hunting and good luck to you all!

Hunting tips summarized: Get enough intel to be hired in a farm or zoo, or buy your way into one (The hunting skill bonus these companies give you will start after being in them for 3 days, no more no less). Beginner hunts: 0-35, standard: 35-85, expert: 85-99. You will have to be very serious about hunting and stay months nonstop to get a decent hunting skill (If you are the type of person that gets bored very easily, STOP, because hunting is not for you, if you continue, you will most likely stop playing tc because of the frustration of not having cash, cash you thought you would get, or simply losing the taste of the game after only seeing a list f crappy weapons and drugs for months without change). Decent amounts of cash will be seen once you pass the 60 hunting skill mark. When you start hunting, try to get a decent home, a ranch if possible because happiness, like in every aspect of this game, is the most important thing of all. Don’t be short minded, be persistent, don’t ask stupid questions that have already been answered like 10 times (READ PEOPLE READ!) Consider the time spent in hunting as an investment and enjoy the money!

You guys also have to remember that the speed at which you gain your hunting skill is slowing down as you get it higher.

The gains you get are results of logarithm function, but if that wasn't enough when you reach certain points of your skill the regular gains you get are lowered by 50% each time....

Someone could add some "eye candy" code so that once you have >99 skill it will be displayed (only displayed) as 100/100 or for example entire line would look like this:

Energy replenishes every 10/15 minuttes, donator/non donator. So you don't have to "refill" energy. Spend the shit, log off, come back in 5 hours, rinse and repeat, then hopefully, in 3 months or so, you can start making serious cash.

I would actually like to see things like exstacy and xanax available for use in South Africa. If you can afford to use it, then it should be up for purchase/ use anywhere. I'd even compromise to longer OD's where or you can't be revived/ travel back, etc. and that you'd have to buy the drugs internally for a slightly higher price.

It's not so much based on the level of hunting as it is on your hunting skill. The only thing hunting levels allow you to do is hunt more things, so if there is change, it's actually slightly negative (a few $100). Upwards and onwards though, right? Around 50 hunting skill you should see a lot more of a difference in income than what you see now.

And about the oil refinery, I'm willing to invest 2-3 billions, so we might not need that many investors to get one up and running.

i got some problem with getting hunting skills . I got average 0.005 per hunt before my hunting skill is 89. When my hunting skill is 89 , my average hunt is only 0.002 which mean it reduced to 0.003 and it take ages to get skills 90. any comment about this? OR is that normal for every hunters when we reach 89?

when you hunt, you lose 10 energy, but do you lose happy then?
because you lose happy when you lose energy through the gym...
if hunting depends (slighty) on hunting, would it be better to hunt once, wait 10 mins, hunt again, rather than hunt 15 times at once?
i know its only a small difference in gains with higher happy, buh overtime it would make a significant difference?

That's impossible to tell, since only the single hunter can monitor their own happiness. I'm not even completely sure (wait a few weeks) if happiness affects hunting.

Either way, I hunt every 10 energy just in case i'm AFK it has a chance to regen to full capacity rather than if I went AFK at around 115E.

Hey, I noticed that it is good to go on advanced hunting even when you have 80 hunting skills.... I got 82.2677 hunting skill and I get more on advanced rather than standard... When I do the advanced hunt, from 150 energy I get 30K results for 2 times, but when I hunt on standard I can barely do 27K from one hunt

...without workin in a zoo the max i got per hunt was around 30-35k. now i work in a zoo the max i get is around 70k per hunt! ...thats around 750-800k per 150 energy!
...that gives me an easy 2,2m a day!

the maz hunting skill varies from player to player...
mine is 99.0003/100
some people have 9.0009 some have 9.0011
this proves that hunting gain really is affected by something, which is unknown to be honest.
so there is nothing wrong with your maz hunting level

The guide isn't wrong, it's the highest skill acheived so far, you get what you get past 99, you just stop gaining, so for whomever to get .0011 was lucky.

As for the note, it's Zoo OR Farm, and it's an easy 3mill if you're active, 3.5 if you're indefinitey active.

if you are just strting out hunting, do not hunt every time you gain 10 energy!!!!!!!!!!!
this will only make you loose money which in the long run will leave you broke. wait until you have at least 50 energy then hunt!!!!

lol@ hunter. Horrible advice. The guide I wrote above, if you read it, advises you take as much money as you possibly can, so there's no chance of you going negative. It's recommended you hunt every 10 energy that way if you need to be AFK for a while and didn't know you would, there's no worries.

Society...have you started your farm or zoo yet? Will you charge for employment? I am considering starting a farm for hunters/future hunters, no charge for a slot. Really not interested in making a profit from the farm, just want to get it to a level 3 so all proceeds would be reinvested until that time, then everyone splits profits.

O.K. I have just started a farm. The company name is HIring - No Fee. How long should it take to get it to level three? Also, can a company with no upgrades get to level 5, or should it have max employees and max upgrades?

Max out employees as best you can, upgrades are recommended. I don't own a farm, but I own a Meat Warehouse instead (the farm market was over saturated). Spent about 160m on it too, hahaha (upgrades).

Should take a few months, i'm not entirely sure. Mail people of 4-5 star companies and ask them for help on pricing, job positions, etc. Most are willing to help because they're already at the top.

In reference to Society's post on October 30, 2008 about happiness affecting hunting gains. With my happy at 1000, my money gained average was 40k with more 20k and 30k than I liked. I upgraded my property to 1950 happy. My gained average is still in the 40k range but, now I get more 50ks than 30ks. I concur that the hunting skill gained increase is very small with higher happy, if there is any at all.

Well there's one simple way for me to really test hunting and happiness, I just don't want to have to spend approx. 250k and possibly OD in the process.

Hunt for 3 days in a shack, record all data, find the average hunt/ gross income.
Hunt for 3 days in a palace (or something above 2500 happy) and record all data and find the average hunt gross income. I'm sure there will be a difference by 500k at the least.

It's good to know that I'm not the only one noticing the differences from happiness whilst hunting.

I have a rate 3 FARM if you want a spot its 4 mil a month or 10 mil for 3 months. I go by the same name in the game. Send the money and a message in game I have laptop that you sent money and applied, I will fly back to TC and get you in my company. You can fly to SA in the meantime and hunt...remember folks it takes 3 days for the hunt bonus to kick in. I'm at 89.1 hunting, finally, going by an earlier post I should now be at the halfway point, also at 89 my gains dropped again, so it's twice so far they've dropped, not as much as the first time, but enough to make the mountain that much bigger.

I average about 33k a hunt, I make about 1.5 mil a day, not bad really, this is by far the best way how to earn money.

Thanks to Society, fu.ck that flaming retard trying to smack talk, I spent a one time fee of 10 mil, just because the guy was so helpful and took over a business that was losing money. He let me pay it after about a month, 10 mil is a stretch, but asking anymore, imo, is greed.

Experience is based on exponential gain. The higher the skill, the less you receive per hunt. The higher hunt levels just allow you to hunt animals that you can get paid more for.

Anyone else getting 'error/account deleted' after going through all your energy while hunting? It happens everytime now, but the first time it happened my heart sank and I got kinda freaked out. But I just hit back on the browser and it's fine. Annoying for sure.

But even more annoying is the 'you can only hunt once per second' crap. I've never seen it before the 'account deleted' thingy popped up. It makes hunting frustrating cuz it sends you back to the main menu. I hope they can fix this.

Approximately 5.5 months. I went back to TC twice, but came back to Africa the same day.

how long roughly now till i get to 99?

if your hunting skill is 85 i would say it could take you quite a while to get to 99. it took me ages to reach 99. once u hit the 80's the exp gain is really low and can take ages to level up. i found tha wen i was 85 i gain around 0.00713 or sumthing like that, when i hit around 95 it took me like 2-3 weeks just to reach 96. so it could take u a few months or so to reach max hunting skill. its worth all the hard work tho, i earn no less than 45k per hunt and the max ive hit is 78k =D

Well, once you hit 55 skill it blows warehouse arsons out of the water, until then it is less (35-55 or so you will get about $30k per 150 energy, so it's not as good), but I hit 55 skill a few days ago and just got $106k for 150 energy, and my job special hasn't even kicked in (only been in for two days I think, though maybe 3 now...)

Also, found a zoo that is also paying me...$62,000 a day, with raises based on stat gains, and I'm about to finish an educational course :P

I got my hunting skill to 99.0006 / 100 on February 18, 2009. I estimate I will have my fully upgraded PI in a few more months. So I think it is worth it :)

Its still very much possible to make some money on hunting, dont be afraid. I have skill 82, and work in a farm (zoo/farm is recomended) and make 15-30K per hunt. If i hunt 3 times a day with 150E I usually get just under a million.

That coming from an HT is funny, don't they focus on crimes and earning money that way?

Comparably, warehouse arsons are better than hunting. You don't make near enough the same cash (1/10th) but your crime EXP is raised which at the moment, I find more important. I find I'm able to earn over 1m each day in crimes and it sustains me while I train. Hunting is still good for those who need money, I just think I need higher stats before I go back.

Hey Society, hopefully you will pop back onto the comments soon enuf to answer this but im guessing ur a high level hunter , probably the top skill level possible.
but anyways.. how much do u make per hunt on average? Bcoz when i hunt i like to do my 15 hunts add em all up and then divide by 15 like every time to see how well im improving and im level 86 making on average 42k per hunt.. Im juust wondering what yours is so i know if it will stay at 42k for the rest of my hunting time or if it will increase.

I have 99, I figured I got about 45-47k, there's not much difference.

Keep with it though, I don't hunt anymore because my crime, merits and stats have been neglected but I probably will return at some time.

Wow, I have just read this complete thread while waiting for my energy to regenerate. Great guide, thanks for all the helpful info in it. I've only been at hunting a couple of days (3 full 150 energy dumps a day)

I am currently hunting with 80 skill and earning anywhere between 15k - 27k using advanced hunting.

As director of a zoo i think i should be getting a bonus on all hunting so Combo3x should be getting more than me.

hi, i have 1 question. I have 94 skill, zoo job with rank 4 and donator status and I earn between 15-20k per hunt, comparing to other people in the comments they earn more... can anyone tell me why ?

No its just that it has decreased, the higher level you are the less the skill gain.... It wil go from that to 0.0013 so id say uve got a month or 2 left before u get to max level. :)

by my estimation, on sunday by the latest, after more than a year of on-and-off hunting, my hunting skill will be completely maxed out. Currently 98.8942. Not been an easy ride, but I have stuck with it.

On this day, 3rd July 2009, I can happily say I have maxed out my hunting skill.
